How to Participate

To move on to more competitions, students or a group of students should submit their project proposals based on the specific theme online. After that, the trainers of Dursikshya will host free webinars and teach them how to make their projects on the Discovery Education Coding platform. Then students will have to upload themed projects online.

The shortlisted projects will then compete in a face-to-face competition involving all individuals working alongside mentors. Coders are then required to submit a final project based on the week’s theme at the end of the competition.

Rewards: Certificate of participation and FREE Discovery Education Network one-year membership for all participants. In Nepal, the winner gets a tablet and a cash reward of NPR 50K along with global exposure. The second prize winner shall receive NPR 25000 and other prizes.

The national winner can also represent Indian students in the competition. If selected, they will be entered into the global competition hosted by Discovery Education in the UK.

Coding opens the world of technology around a child and equips him with skills he will find useful in his career, Krishna Pandey points out. The intensive, module-based curriculum in the Discovery Education coding platform will deepen students’ understanding of key programming concepts such as algorithms, pattern recognition, and variables while developing problem-solving skills by helping them become more fluent with computation.
