
The 29th edition of ‘CAN Infotech 2024’ will be held at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu from February 08 to 12. Computer Association Nepal Federation (CAN) gave information about CAN Infotech at a press conference in the capital on Thursday.
According to the CAN Federation, the Infotech is being organized every year with the aim of exhibiting new technologies developed in the field of information and communication technology and creating meaningful interactions for the development of this sector. Saying that CAN Infotech will reflect the development and expansion of Nepal’s technology sector, Federation President Ranjit Podar said that it will help in building Digital Nepal.

Nepal’s Largest IT Exhibition: CAN Infotech
“We are confident that the latest technology to be exhibited and the talents and innovations developed according to the demand of the local market will help the campaign of creating Digital Nepal,” said Podar. Similarly, General Secretary of the Federation Chiranjeevi Adhikari mentioned that special priority has been given to startups, young talent, innovation and Nepali products in Infotech. Since 1995 CAN Federation has started CAN Infotech, the 28th edition of Infotech has been successfully completed in 2023, according to the Federation.
The ticket fee of Infotech is fixed at 100 for general public and 50 for students. There is free entry for senior citizens, differently abled citizens, children below 10 years and the groups on the recommendation of government and community colleges.

For the past 6 years, CAN Federation of Nepal in collaboration with Lord Buddha Education Foundation has been providing scholarships of 2 crores every year for B.Sc IT. This scholarship will be provided this year as well and it will be announced on the first day of CAN Infotech 2024, the federation said.
CAN Federation member organizations as well as various national and international information and communication technology companies will participate in the information and communication technology exhibition. The exhibition will be used by businessmen as a platform for business expansion as well as a platform for exhibiting new technologies and observers will be able to view and purchase new and future technologies and equipment in information and communication technology at one platform.
They believes that this exhibition will be a special place for those interested in information technology to get information about the developments and applications in this field. Branding, ICT accessories, product launching along with IT career counseling, startup and innovation pavilion, software pavilion have been arranged at Can Infotech.

So far 90 percent i.e. more than 120 stalls have been booked for Infotech 2024. About 3.5 lakh visitors are expected to visit this edition of the Infotech Fair. Infotech Fair will be held in all seven provinces after the completion of the country’s largest information technology from February 08 to 5 days in the capital.
