Among the various other Chinese electric car companies, the most popular is “BYD: Build Your Dreams,” which launched its most popular variant, the BYD ATTO 3, in Nepal in 2024. This electric car is advertised as the first electric SUV with sporty looks. This is the most popular and best-selling electric car in Nepal. Performance, features, styling, extended range, and safety are given more importance and are developed on the BYD e-platform.

BYD ATTO 3
The BYD ATTO 3 model comes in 2 versions, Advanced & Superior. But there are very few differences. That is a slight disappointment, as they otherwise feature the same specifications and safety measures, including the motor range, etc., with battery power being one of the few differentiating factors between them.

The 49.2 kWh and 60.48 kWh LPF Blade Batteries will be designed with a motor about to run for both variants squeezed in the box, which encrypts it as well as other electric vehicles packed with an absurd amount. They only vary in terms of the battery packs and their range. The rest of all the changes are the same, if not its features, styling, and performances. The introduction, without any compromise in its features or safety, makes it one of the most loved electric cars for the year 2024.
“Both versions of the BYD ATTO 3 have a 15kW motor, with only batteries being different. A bit, though both are DC fast charge compatible.”

The PMSM motor produces a maximum power of 135 PS and a maximum torque of 310 NM. The advanced variant can be charged in 7.5 hours using a 7kWh charger, while the superior version is fully recharged by plugging it into the same adapter for just over nine hours with no more energy taken from its battery than was fed back during its driving cycle, offering extremely usable range per mile ($560+ bucks savings).

“The Superior variant, however, is a costly affair yet comes with an extended battery capacity, while the Advanced has only standard battery life.”

Conclusion
The BYD ATTO 3 became one of the favourite cars in Nepal when BYD launched their most awaited electric SUV, the Atto 3, back on May 34. Atto 3, Advanced and Superior versions Both use a 150 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), which is quite powerful, and both come with several safety features & similar designs.
If you need the same BYD ATTO 3 features at a lower price, then Advanced is for you.
The two share a lot in common, but the primary differentiator is their battery packs-the Advanced gets a 49.92 kWh pack with an estimated range of 345 km, and Superior buyers will enjoy up to 420 km on one charge courtesy of its larger (60.48 kWh). Adaptive cruise control, panoramic sunroof, and a 360-degree camera system are some of the modern comforts that make it attractive.
